Stolen Kona Stinky Purple And Silver
STOLEN KONA STINKY PURPLE AND SILVER

Don't have exact specs as it my friends bike and got stolen from my other friends place, who had borrowed it. It was stolen on July 15th, Saturday night. East Van. Broke into her house apartment and stole KONA STINKY PURPLE AND SILVER, her laptop and a bunch of food. We are on the prowl for it... any leads?? any info? REWARD AVAILABLE.

July 15th was a Sunday.

We were broken into on Saturday night as well, and my housemate lost his Norco Six. Seems like there's been a rash of targeted B&E's lately in East Van.

Thank you .. that is very much appreciated.
I could not figure out how to post the picture like that.

Also strangest thing.. I have the bike posted on CRAIGSLIST and someone put a post there (which has since been removed) that the bike was at an address on Rupert St in East Van. We went there -- no bike. But my friends arrived at the same time as a few other people - no luck.... I posted back saying "nice prank" and he posted back saying sorry he was for real and that person is known. Anyway my friend has been in touch with the cops about it.. very "Columbo" like. We are heading to the Flea market this weekend as that person who made the post said if he hasnt sold them already to check it out ....

There is a BIKE RING OUT THERE.. I know I had my baby Norco Fluid 1 stolen last year right from under me....... it is maddening... Why they don't have a Bike Bait Program like they do with cars is beyond me.

Anyway.. my fingers are crossed as it's my friend who borrowed by friend's bike and well.. let's just say it might turn out to be a very expensive one day ride

If your friend is named Kelly, I've been in touch with her. She spotted my housemate's Norco Six in the DTES while looking for a couple of stolen Konas, and we were e-mailing last night re: the Rupert St. address.

I've also been keeping in touch with the VPD. Bikes seem to be going from East Van to the DTES, then disappearing. The bikes being stolen are too nice to stay in the DTES for long, and you can't move them via the internet or pawn shop, or take them to a local shop. They've got to be going out of town, possibly parted out or as rebuilds.

Here's hoping there's an interesting weekend at the flea market! If you see the bike in my sig, bring the pain!

Mine and my boyfriend's were stolen on Saturday as well, i think i saw you guys at 4424 Rupert last night!!! They were a kona stinky deelux and a kona stinky primo...2 beautiful bikes GONE!!!!
Any more leads?
I got a weird email today saying to check the flea market in Abbotsford on the weekend!
