More roam in the loam (and rockfaces) Pemberton

Mt Currie dominates Pemberton

Cromags ride uphill well.. Joe likes his

and descend well too

Knolly Deliriums like Pemberton berms

Joe seems to have trouble staying on the ground. That Cromag must be light

This section of trail finishes off with more smooth, fast downhill

We were self-powered the whole day. Don't really think that the climbs up to the trails in Pemberton are long enough to need a bunch of shuttles and shuttling takes almost as much time. Enough with the preaching, on to the next set of trails.

This time a couple of loops off the more common Pemby trails dropping back down to Mt Currie road - this time with Steve.

Steve drops in.

Steep rollers abound

Requisite great view of Mt Currie

Lots of gorgeous rocklines

Steve... how are the bug bites... you missed nothing but crappy, hiking trails on Monday.

Terrible, horribly boring, flat... uphill... covered in snow hiking trails....

A tragedy!

The French Toast at the Pony Espresso was great though!

What a slog of an uphill bushwhacking through blowdown and snow and a tedious downhill. No views also worth mentioning.

Some quick pics pending a possible writeup in a NSMB article

Trailhead at 300m

Other trailhead up a logging road at about 100m

Alpine flowers are in full bloom

Blowdown and standing water equals bugs - and lots of them

More blowdown. Still quite a bit of snow at about 1300m mark

Routefinding is a bit tricky. Finding a good spot to cross the last creek before the downhill is also tricky. Descent starts at about 1530m. Only another 1200m to drop

After some challenging riding in the snow and entertaining slow-speed endos we get into the alpine flowers. Sorry about the bum shot Dave

I suppose the views are OK eh dan?

The trail's character changes completely as you drop further down - greenery swallows Pat

Then it starts getting fast as you get into the smooth loam action down low; Pat and I scare ourselves trying to keep up to Trevor

Dan, (Sharon in the background) not hating life

I really want to get out on that ride, I just didn't have the love for it yesterday. The bites I had from Sunday swelled up and started to hurt, and I didn't particularly fancy getting more of them. Maybe later this year?
It didn't help that I knocked myself silly putting the sofa bed back yesterday. I have a great bruise on my forehead

Heard some muddbunnies invaded Pemberton too. We'll see if I have pics to follow...

Biggles604 those are some awesome shots of you that Lee took. I'm so happy you guys went for another lap while we drank our post-ride beer.
