If you read the other thread about the race, that you have been posting in mind you, you will find the answers to your questions.

Here is the Vid of the course from that thread.

I've never done it... but It's been described to me as being like a giant bmx track.

Upper 1/3 definately has a different character from the bottom 2/3. Tighter, rockier, steeper. Bottom is give 'er..... gaps, berms, speed.

Race fees are here: http://www.bearmountainchallenge.com...eg_Form_01.pdf

For 15 years, the Race fee is $30. The one day licence, uninsured is $5. total = $35.00

Or, one day licence insured is $30 + the race fee of $30 = $60.

johnny340 is a n00b; standing by
Course Map?

I've been to that site but can't find a course map. Is the course marked now? Or is it obvious at least? I've never raced Bear Mountain D/H but would like to this year so I need to pre-ride now but I'm not sure where to go.

Park at the pond. Head around the right hand side of the pond and head up the very obvious trail.

Race day volunteers are still needed.

I know <some> NSMB members have volunteered, but we could use more.

Send me an email, or register online here:

http://www.bearmountainchallenge.com/vol_signup.php

<It's not actually me that coordinating the volunteers - Maria is doing it, but NSMB is too scary for her...>

oh, I'm gonna get it for that one...
