If people even got 1/2 as excited about a real cause as they do about f'ing hockey this would actually be a pretty good place to live. But no, everyone just goes on about who got traded to who and how many points some overpaid player got in his first year.

Let me ask you this, all you people who drive around with the stupid little flags hanging off your car, would you fly the flag of say mcdonalds or some other large corporation? I dont understand why people think they are supporting "their" canucks. The NHL is a company that is trying to make money, I can not imagine paying someone else so I can advertise for them. I mean you actually physicaly have to go to the store and buy a flag so you can give free advertising to some huge multi billion dollar corporation. I just dont get it!

I dont really get your point?

If you mean that I bought X brand of bike so I support said brand, I dont go out and buy flags and sweaters and crap just to put on my car or wear around that advertise said product. Admitadly I do have a few stickers on my bike rack (IMBA, NSMBA and a few others that came FREE with stuff I have bought over the years)

I just came back to Canada. I haven't watched ockey in 2 years. I like the Canucks. I think the playoffs are nice because then I can watch them play all the time and because I don't keep up with hockey anyway.

It's nice to be reminded every 5 minutes that there's a game on, or when stores close early when I'm trying to buy something from them but they have to stop sales to watch a game. It's nice to be inconvenienced for a hockey game. really.

IF they lose on monday, it really makes a solid case for jumping on the bandwagon. you waste a season hoping and watching every game and then the team decides to give about 60% effort in a game that could have given them a few days rest and get them into the next round all in one

coach should bench the first player to get a penalty (unless it is protecting the goalie or stopping a goal) for the game in 7
