Maxtor 500GB HD and external enclosure is about $180 to $190.

Cant' wait until for hard drive performance to actually increase in speed at a rate that's even close to its rate of storage increase. Either that, or cheap solid state drives.

Costco has a $99 120GB (maybe 160GB) external drive that's really small and gets its power from the USB cable.

uh thats expensive. I just bought a drive enclosure and a harddrive from ncix all for around 130 dollars (with a 500gb hardrive.
