uhhh... take a allen key of the correct size and tighten the big bolt at the center of the crank where it connects to the bottom bracket. But what makes you think that it needs tightening? Is something loose?

What type of bottom bracket and crankset do you have.
(Sorry if you know this, it might sound obvious... but then again, maybe it doesnt)
It could be a square taper (the hole in the crank arm is square) or ISIS, the hole in the crank arm is kindof in the shape of a flower... I dont know of a better way to describe that one... or it could be an X-type, the easiest way to identify these is that the bearings on the bottom bracket are on the outside of the bottom bracket shell... there are some other types too, but its unlikely that you dont have one of the three above.

Each of the three crank setups are repaired differently, and have different things that could be wrong.... so let us know.

Thats not what you said in the original post. Its what you mean, but its not what you said

If you dont want the CRANKS to spin under your feet, there is nothing you can do besides use better technique (you cant take apart bottom brackets). If you dont want your PEDALS to spin under your feet, you COULD take them apart (that is, if you can) and pack them with thick grease to make them spin slower, but thats a band-ade solution to a problem that lies in YOUR technique.

So basicly, what im saying is, the problem lies with you, not the bike.

uhhh whoever needs to tighten up their crankarms because they spin when they do no-footers is a noob. its very simple if they do that is the rider not the bike.

Yea, hey thanks for repeating what I just said in my post above (except the "noob" part). Just because he is a noob doesnt mean you have to give him shit. Were you born with endless biking knowledge? Hell no. We were all noobs. In fact, judgine by how childinsh you are acting, you are probably a little grom yourself. Go back to pinkbike

Would you have gotten into biking if everyone was as big of an asshole as you? I doubt it. Thanks for giving bikers a shitty reputation.

Sorry for cluttering up this thread. I just feel I need to tell off this grom cuz he ascing WHACK to the new kid Cant we all just get along? Group hug?

Take an 8mm wrench, undo bolt in center of your crank at the bottom bracket. Get a isis Crank puller. Or use a hammer. Take the crank off. Let opposite crank fall into vertical position, place new crank in vertical position, tighten bolt into the bottom bracket. Now your pedals will always be in the same place.

And if your pedals are spinning. Take the off with a 15mm wrench (remember, back of, over the top on both sides). Hold them against sturdy surface with axle faces up (vertical). Use a large hammer and hit the axle into the pedal as many times as you can untill you miss and hit your hand. Put pedals back on and hit them untill they are parrallel to the ground.
