Freakin bad first ride back(okay so it wasn't that bad)

Well I went for my first trail ride in about..oooo....months..

so this is how things went leading up to this ride..I crashed harsh on my bmx to avoid a car(which didn't do much for my already shakey confidence) then school and medical things kept me from riding.

so I went back to the trails on saturday, and hit the local trails in Stokes pit.

THere have been some incredible building in there..some super neat gaps and log rides and such...and I could't hit any, i was freakin out on the smalles thing(to my defense there was snow on most of it, or that green moss, you know the kind).

it was fun to be back on a bike and cruising around, but I couldn't make myself do anything which was really disheartening.

one can only hope for things to get better..i have a few confidence boosters around my house..once it dries up, hopefully I'll be able to be restored to at least my once meager skill level.

ya man, its all confidence. dont expect to be l33t pro on your first ride back from rehab. just take it easy and build up again

i had the same thing after i broke my ankle...

sounds rad dude, remember you haven't been on your bike in how long, and you had a bad crash to keep you off with an injury and all, of course your gonna be spooked, but once you get back into the flow of things you'll be ready to rock dude! i hope to see you on the trails one day.

Once i started riding after my broken collerbone, it seemd like Id never get good again. Then all of a sudden i snapped or something, and ride like i never have before

I went for my first ride on my new rig after an extended absence and I felt the exact same way. Next time you go out, you'll remember precisely why it's so much fun!
