I would say more like 16hrs

Smithers has 25cm of new but they didnt open due to high winds but it looks like tommorrow could be blue bird and 25cm new

Ski hill is shut down until Friday. Everyone I spoke to tonight was absolutely losing their minds about how good Friday is going to be...

It's steep $$ to fly here, and about a 15 hour drive (shift driving in a geo metro with the pedal pinned for you're entire shift).

Photo's will be posted. Just got this one my buddy took of me on Saturday (bluebird..waist deep fresh from Friday) :

the most painful part of this is that the backcountry around here that IS accessible through highway 16 is so unbelievably dangerous right now, there was an easy 60cm dumped on Friday/Saturday, and now with another even conservative 150cm of snow on top of that there will be sloughs that can eat trains... I even have the time off from work because I do helicopter fly-in forestry and its been blowing 60-90km/h for the last week (and forecasted to continue for another).

Hawk Air from YVR south terminal has decent prices to fly to Terrace... It's a dual prop plane if I remember correctly...

Today is the make or break day for this dump of snow, if the temperature in Terrace goes above 6 degrees it's going to be ugly up there, (but at least they will have snow for the park to be built nice and early), the rest of the week is supposed to be colder so the awesomeness should hold...
