Maybe some local bike shop ? Gotta call around

Is there anyone on the board here who does it ? Id way rather use someone whos nice, and is a local for rebuilding my shock.

from everyone i've talked to, unless you want to spend the extra money and upgrade to a dhx5 (if your bike will take it) send it to push. the push rebuild will make the rc as good as it can possibly be and it's cheap compared to the cost of a dhx5

There's a ton of great info on this very subject that you'll find easily with a search. It's been discussed many times over, and like I said there's tons of info.

I've had my RC push'd, I was very happy with it but it's no comparison to a DHX.

I'll second the vote for Flow. Paul is awesome and the shock treatment is similar to what Push does. I've not heard anything from him on the boards here in a while, is he still doing it?

One thing to remember is the Flow service apparently causes your shock to chirp like a bird and it doesn't have the adjustability of the Push service. Is that right Biggles, or am I remembering something wrong?
Some people don't really care about the noise but it's something to consider.

The truly cheapest and quickest fix might be to find another used Fox RC. Call around to some shops, there's likely to be a few laying around.

It's old, but may not be sold yet. Cheaper than a rebuild if it works.

You lose the compression damping, but I don't know many people who used it anyway. The internals are completely re-shimmed to your specs, the shock feels more progressive, smoother and definitely more reassuring, it keeps the wheel on the ground. Make sure with Push or Flow that you have enough frame clearance to add about 10mm to the end of the piggyback, since a schrader valve will be added (to charge the Nitrogen).
The chirp only starts once the chock is broken in, and it's not really that noticeable, it's a whistling squish sound more than anything.
