The old boards definitely had some good burns goin on.

Censorship really isn't that bad. When I see "edited by a mod" it kinda annoys me. Everyone here is over 13, I don't think it really matters what you read. If it's something that bad, send em a warning, but by editing it out, while the other posts all talk about it, gets kinda frustrating.

Cam, the mods have better things to do than "monkey" with peoples posts.

But if people don't follow the rules there are only a few options:

1) You can ignore it (we know where that goes)

2) You can delete the post... losing any value the post might have

3) You can modify the post...leaving the poster's comments and contributions pretty much intact.

In addition you can issue a warning to the poster and if they don't listen you can ban them.

I bet the mods would all be happy to never have to warn,delete, modify and ban. There is a lot of work to keep this place running and moding the BB takes a lot of time away from other things like updating products, adding links, tweaking the code to make things run smoother. Just to name a few.. there are a lot more things that go on here.

Anyway... I still think NSMB is the best MTB site on the net and I am really happy that there is so much passion here. This place rocks!

The thing I have is that you can't type C*ckpit without the script censoring it, and I think don't a bar/stem combo is a dirty thing.

OMG dude that foodtv thing was the funniest! I cant believe that the guy came and bitched about us....well maybe I can believe it

The boards as they stand are great. Sure the old boards were hella fun and hilarious as hell but look what happened to them. I say the boards were best back in late 2000/early 2001 when there were about 100 members.
