Shore section in ROAM: where is it?

So I'm sitting in Winnipeg, watching sections of ROAM all the time, to remind me of biking and the mountains. I love the shore section, and the whistler section obviously.

Where is the Shore section shot? Was it an existing trail, or one they bulit for the movie? All the cedar looks nice and bright and new.

I never made it down to the shore to ride when I was living in Whistler, so I don't recognize any of the trails.

I did a forum search, but could not find an answer.

uhh if your talkin bout berrecloths section i think they are just different stunts built everywhere. rumours have it that some are in squamish and on seymour and the island. dont take my word though these are just rumours that ive stumbled across

Taken directly from the director commentary:

- "This is the shore section which was filmed in southwest BC, then in Squamish, a bit on the North Shore and a bit on the Island."
- "This is a big jump we built with the claw up in the squamish area"
- "This line that you're looking at here is actually pretty close to where the claw lives- on vancouver island. He's lucky to have a mountain behind his house that he can build pretty much anything he wants on"

I should have known it was a bunch of different trails, because the Whistler section looks like one big line down the mountain, but it's actually just about every trail on the mountain grafted together.

I like how in the part with his brother, his brother just manages to keep it together on a piece of slippery rock. Looks so fun!

I remember a post where the directions were discussed - and i do not think that it is a good idea to spread the word where exactly these stunts are. i was pm'ed by some members of this very board. what about the secrecy about exact locations most of you "shore riders" had in the past?

the places do not need masses of people trying to ride what only a couple of guys can ride.

my suggestion - leave the places alone, you will find them when you are ready. or pm members who may probably know the locations.

I know - i am from Germany, this is far away, but we had troubles with locations of stunts spread on the net as well. and we are not even close to the quality of you guys.

my 2 cents.

While I enjoy riding good trails, the purpose of my thread was not to find out where they were to ride them, as I'm in Winnipeg, a 4 hour flight from Vancouver. I was just curious.

I think that a discussion about posting directions on the board is

, but can some sometimes be necessary. In this instance though, it's not.
