in an industry of arm waving Stephan Wilde's eye for the world around him stands apart as a reminder of what it's really all about.

Wow. This is one amazing piece of writing. have to agree - it is really boiling it down to the essentials...and then it does not really matter how proficient, experienced or "good" (trick wise) you are - as long as you have this "cleansing" feeling inside of you saying calmly that you have surpassed yourself.

Right Arm
I loved your artical. I'm not especially good with articulating my thoughts/experiences into words. I usually can't even come close to doing them justice, but your write up is so close I had to say "Good on ya"!

Great writing! Those pics really add an element of fear to the story. They really convey that feeling when everything's coming at you so fast you're operating in reaction mode, trying like hell just to keep it together.

I love Stephen's words and photos. His shots are so unique that I often have no idea how he manages to convey what he does. The grittyness of his photos distills one unique element of the Shore experience.

Wow - Thanks
Wow,
thanks man, you started my day with my heart pounding, it could have been your article or the triple Americano I just finished... either way what a fantastic article, you seemed to sum up everything I have trouble explaining to my family who sit at home in England not having a clue of why I bike/board and push boundaries.... you said it all, thanks, Jimi |

The article paints a great picture for most of us when on our first ride on the north shore. I know when I looked down the trails for the first time that feeling of "what am I thinking, this is crazy".
Its funny how over time you loose that feeling and then you ride with a different group and they are all having that experience and you feed off of it. We are all lucky to live here. |
