Guinness is good.

Some nice pics in the slideshow. That coastal cliff trail looks awesome. May be a bit over my vertigo limit though.

Sounds like good fun!

That power slide picture is sick. Peat's almost flat without getting off the ground. I wanna know if he pulled it out.

Those cliff shots are worthy of a poster....Amazing.

I recently moved from Dublin, Ireland over here to Vancouver, and damn it I miss the pubs. Vancouvers bar and lounge scene is all well and good, but show me a pub with no TVs, no music, an open fire and flowing Guinness and I'm a happy camper.

Pubs aside the biking in Ireland is good, although not as well accepted as over here. I used to ride the Dublin mountains which are littered with signs claiming that "Mountain biking is prohibited". However it being Ireland no one pays any attention.

One of the best rides I ever took was in Killarney (mentioned in the article), a full day if XC on hiking trails in the cold rain, great stuff. In fact having moved to Vancouver I've mainly be riding Seymour and Burnaby and I miss those day long loops...I'm told Squamish is the place to go for this type of ride, any good pubs there?

Howe Sound Inn my friend. The make their own beer, have a fire place with big couches , pool table and if you're lucky they might play bike movies depending on the day you're there. It used to be climbers and bikers prime spot to hang out but they've started putting hockey like any other pubs which mean loud and drunk people sometimes...

If you want to check it out its downtown at the very end of Cleveland Ave

Never stand between a Yorkshireman and his beer.

Atlantic Trap & Gill on Davie is also worth a try.

I went to Ireland and Wales for 2 weeks earlier this year. I want to retire early, move there and spend my afternoons in an old pub. It was the best thing ive ever experienced.
