This thread is a praise and huge thank you out to all the companies out there who go the extra mile and provide their customers with after purchase, service, piece of mind and help.
I know that not everyone who sends their busted parts into these companies will receive the same service, positive and negative, but here's how I was treated and it's definitely good to spread around. Whether it be you know the people who work tirelessly at these departments or having a dilemma about which part to drop your hard earned cash on. Chris King - Where do I start? Their warranty contact is straightforward and easy to find on the website from the get go. And guess what? Unlike 908234098234 other companies out there, once you dial the number, a REAL person answers your call without any hold, automated systems, dially directories, and all that other jazz which makes it impossible to get any real help. Thanks for all the help Meagan. ![]() I sent my headset away on a Monday, 7 days later there is a package on my doorstep. Complete with a invoice detailing the work done on it, what was wrong, what could've lead to the problem, and some advice on future use/installation. I will not hesitate to purchase another CK product. That huge price tag is worth every cent for what you're getting in the end. Norco - For a huge company, they do great. Somewhat lacking in terms of speed of work/shipping and trying to get ahold of the same guy whom you talked to, but it's all part of the huge ass company issue that one just has to deal with. I didn't deal with them personally, went through a shop, but 2.5 weeks later, I was on a brand spanking new Torrent. A nice step-up from my Sasquatch. And lookie here, the headtube junction that cracked now has a sweet gusset on there. Good to see such a large company caring and improving on their work from rider input, unlike some other large companies out there... RockShox - One week turnaround and they even polished up my fork, what more can I say. Seattle service centre treats their customers well. Truvativ - Maybe it was because I went through a distributor or the shitty shop that I went through did a shitty job, but I lost my cranks for about 5 weeks only to realize 2 days after the 5 week hiatus that the problem had not been fixed. Trying to mask the problem only brings back more work in the end dudes... But for the most part, you get what you pay for. At least they did try to help. RaceFace - Chad is damn cool. Excellent person to deal with. Although it is a one man warranty department, he is quick, does your stuff up right, and knowledgable. Now if only my X-type luck would get better... Nothing anyone can really do other than me stop riding X-type stuff. But that's a story for another day. 243 - Haven't dealt with Eric but after seeing his analness over quality control firsthand, I can damn well bet that he's doing a spectacular job treating his customers right. Support your local boys! Marzocchi - Dealt with the service centre at Norco. I was able to e-mail a real person and they replied promptly as well. Got my fork all nice and running in a matter of 2 weeks and even topped the oil to my skinny butt. Good times ensued. So, thanks guys and gals for giving us riders a chance at being back on our bikes ASAP and not with too much debt! Fortunately, fingers crossed, my warranty experiences will end there. But given that I always receive the one-off bad products, I'll have plenty more to share in the following months. If you have a warranty experience to share, feel free to post. I for one will support a company that stands behind their customers long after they've laid down their money at the shop counter. Cheers, Kenneth

goodridge - i snapped my goodridge hose in the middle, not at either joint, something that is very rarely done. contacted them, new hose arrived at LBS free of charge within a week, incredible service.
marzocchi - sent me a dodgy 888, wouldn't compress at all. sent it back, recieved a new one in under a week. i can go on.... some really quality companies out there. |

Manitou - sent my sherman in and got it back a week later with all crown and steerer, stanchions, internals and seals and bushings. Fork felt great.
Race Face - phoned and got an RA# for my cranks on a monday but I didn't put them in the mail until thursday. Had a new crankset friday, awesome service.

For better or for worse, for the amount of times I've dealt with Brodie over the years, their warranty dept. is pretty is very impressive. Considering the warranty process that takes place at the shop and the manufacturer, its hard to beat 24 hour turnarounds on frame replacements including the rebuild.

I had great warranty service from Santa Cruz when I crash replaced my Bullit. They're another company where a real person answers the phone and actually helped me out by telling me what colours were available for immediate shipping. Got both front and back ends though I'd only pooched the top tube.
I got a whole new fork for the price of the lowers through Marz NA when I cracked my arch. Marz EU had stopped making parts for the old, smaller stanchion size so they had no choice but to replace the fork. They could have asked for a more money since it was a serious upgrade. I respect Marz NA for sacrificing profits and doing the "right thing" for their customers.

cant say that i like manitou, but their service is great. I was building up a bike for a friend when i discovered a crack in the casting (mind you, it was a brand new fork
) Anyways, i was pretty pissed, and so was my friend, but I called up manitou for him and worked it all out to where New lowers were sent to my friends doorstep in 2 days. Pretty amazing.
