How did Ryder Kasprick place? All his lines he threw down were sick and clean. I'm surprised he did not place higher.
And props to Cam McCaul I enjoyed his runs very much.

The contest just went offf!!!! It was sooo cool to watch. I liked it a lot more than last year. A little longer but way more riding that the previous year. Cam Zinc's totally deserves the win and cam mccaul also was nuts. We were randomly turing around in some hotel drop off roundabout after and I just see this guy with a huge check and a helmet walking into the hotel. I reconize mccaul and just roll down the window and we all cheered for him; the big smile he got when he saw and herd us was soooo funny. Speaking of hearing myself and friends. I'm sure most of you that were there will remember my group. We were the loud kids just below the road gap. The ones with the hot pink signs. Anybody get any pictures of us? I did see some lenses point our way.

Hahaha, I wanted to yell at you to shut up but I was just to quiet. But good job cheering, I laughed when I saw you guys. What did your signs say?

You were all crazy. I loved the noises your group made while the riders were jumping from section to section on the final feature.

Why would u want me to shut up? Those guys were risking their lifes for so little. They deserved some decent cheers. On one side of the 4 we made it to say, "We The Godfather" then on the backs of each we made mini signs saying, "Git'er home, Git'er done", "Louder", for one of the girls we wrote "I'm single... Anyone?" then after that we noticed the large amounts of male so we made a sign saying "Sausage fest 2006".

Axisofevilkenviel; thanks man, it was just as much fun to do than to hear.

Just to say shut up just so I could get some attention like you guys... I'm too much of a loser.
I can't believe the announcers didn't say anything about you guys. Seriusoly you were the only people cheering constantly, I didn't get a very good vibe from the rest of the crowd. The people I was around didn't seem very pumped.

Yeah, the vibe was kind of bad and the announcers were horrible. And on top of that it was cold and cloudy (unnormal for Crankworx) I also felt kind of down because I didn't see Darren busting out big, sure he 3'd the roadgap again but seriously you did already....

I have to agree, the 2006 Slopestyle seemed pretty weak by comparison with years past. Definitely a lack of creativity from most riders, and sadly the attempts to throw more interesting tricks ended in wipeouts.

Slopestyle is hovering in a strange middle ground right now. The tricks are nowhere near as good as BMX comps, and we've all seen bigger drops and crazier Shore-style riding in most freeride movies.

Slopestyle needs something new, it's feeling like a rerun.

See, I have to disagree on the riding front. I think that this years comp was amazing and we are just getting desensitized by it all.

And what's with the bmx comparison?

The problem i have with the comp is with the announcing. It's not so much the people announcing (the female announcer needs to go) but everything seemed so negative whether it was the comments directed to the riders after each ride or the comments during the ride. For example, there was the guy that attempted the 720 off of the box early in the comp and then for the rest of the comp the announcers expressed their dissappointment when that same rider was settling for just a 360??????
I don't know i think that more props needs to be thrown out to all of the riders.
