mzx is a n00b; standing by
I've got 2.7 F, 2.5 R Nevegals, use 22 PSI F, 25 PSI R. 195 lbs w/gear, 38lbs bike. Good compromise between fast rolling and grip.

Are you talking wire bead nevegal or kevlar? I wouldn't go much above 30psi unless you want fast rolling and if there is a lot of traction. If the conditions are sketchy I'd would go sub 30, but with the sticky compound you shouldn't have to risk pinch flats. (If they are not wire bead you may have to go higer for rocky trails or trails with "bigger hits", aka anything very rough.)

ive never understood these tire pressure threads.

Step 1- buy mini pump
step 2- go riding
step 3- adjust as you ride to find YOUR best set up

But that would make sense?

I guess ideally someone else will be basically the same weight and all and will have the perfect info for him (or her).

Those folding bead nevegals have weak sidewalls. Mine not only folded over with 28psi in front but my rim ripped right through it the next run with 35psi. in it.---(high speed rocky descent)

You will need higher pressure than those listed if you are running kevlar beaded nevies.-----------in my humble opinion.

I am about 180 plus gear.

I was riding here in Whistler at the time.

I know Neds and CBC and I would have thought you would have
had a problem on Neds in places. Good if you didn't- cuz they
are light, have a great pattern and good compound.

It is possible (very) that you are much smoother than I or a bit
slower.(not as likely)

I had much more luck with the light weight Big Earls 2.5" but have
had to stick with dh casings around here.

Hope that helps............
