I hate ontario. Do they want everyone to become fat. biking is such a great way of getting excercise. The government encourages us to get outside and be active and then they do stuff like this which may stop people from going outside and being active. Stupid if you ask me.

They should just surround the parks with razor wire and keep everyone out. They'll stay pristine that way for sure.
Goddamn idiots.
Let's see if BTAC actually earns their paycheque on this one.

few may realize that cycling is also expressly prohibited in BC Provincial parks according to present legislation. This prohibition is circumvented only by specific signage that indicates where cycling is allowed within park boundaries. Cycling is typically only permitted on legal roadways within park boundaries. This has been the case for several years here.

true, but BC also has mad amounts of open crown land available for outdoor recreation. southern ON is more completely occupied than here. from what i've seen, their provincial parks are the only places around for fun times.
shitty score ON, fight the power!

Hmmm well im gonna have to disagree with all of you

the ontario ban on mechanized vehicles in provincial parks only applies to designated wilderness areas. there are 311 parks in ontario that are not considered wilderness areas! in fact there are only about 8 areas that are considered wilderness areas. these areas are remote and hard to get to, often requiring canoeing in, or airplane. so shorthills is STILL goin to be rideable! yay! When i heard about this at the shop i work at, it was an uproar since we all go ride shorthills regularly.

I sure hope im right

Besides all the good trails around st. kitss are outside of shorthills, like 12 mile and the newly cut stuff
