06 boxxer race

i know this fork comes in 8 inches, i was wondering if it could be reduced to 7? also what are you overall impressions with this fork? ive ridden bikes with it a few times and ive liked it but how well does it last? i dont know too much about rockshox so any help would be appreciated.

put a 1" spacer under the negative spring.

i had a 05 race once you get it broken in and the oil changed its PPPPRIME

I had an 05 race that came on my 05 demo 8

. It was butter ... for about 5 rides. The rebound adjustment sucked on it. firt of all u have to use a 2.5 mil key to adjust it, and after its ajucted, i found no difference. Im a progressive rider, but im not out riding right now because well .. the fork is not on my bike, and on its way to get fixed wherever they do that. besides the breaking part, i found the fork too slow, especially rippin down whistler.

BUT ... this year the fork seems to be improved and I hear that Boxxer in 2006 really got it bang on, and added compression to the race, but if ur considering boxxer .. RIDE THE TEAM!!
