Mt. Fromme...

Fromme was amazing riding today. i was so mad that i forgot my camera. by the time i got to the 6th switchback, it was snowing nicely and the scenery as simply breathtaking actually. unfortunately climbing 6 to 7was exceptionally difficult because of the snow on the ground but damn it was perfect riding conditions once you got on the trail (there is some snow on the first bit of 7th). i rode 7th, leppard, UOC, espresso, and crippler and all trails were in amazing condition (wet and greasy, but it IS the shore).

just want to say great job to all the people who have been doing the recent trailwork up there. loving the new building on espresso, especially the roller. also met a guy along espresso cutting deadfall from laying across the trails - props to him. and i really like springboard skinny ladder thing even though it almost killed me the first try.

I went and did Air Supply, Pinkstarfish, and Boundary on Saturday and the conditions were wet but okay.

Espresso is my favorite trail on Fromme. The last section you just mach down, and it has some decent skinnies and such to have fun on.

I did UOC - espresso that other day as well. Soloing up/down Fromme on a nice day is hard to beat - even if you have to push through snow for the last few switchbacks. Remember to bring your tunes..

On the downside I noticed quite a bit of rubbish (2 drink bottles, powerbar wrappers etc) at the head of UOC. I packed it out but the litterbugs should know better

Would you say Espresso or Oilcan after Upper Oil?

What the hell. I got lost on Fromme today. Ended up riding a fall line right to BP from Oilcan.

Hah. Spending 45 mins to climb and enjoying some awesome scenery isn't too bad.

No need to force me to go, I am ALWAYS up for a Shore ride. Mellow or not.

haha if you got lost then that's a good thing (1 less rider on the trail ).

but seriously, i'd be happy to ride with anyone to show you the trails. i'm not going this weekend because i'm going boarding in whistler but next weekend i'm hittin' Fromme for sure. however, note that i climb hard so if you can't keep up, you'll have to wait till i make the next loop back up for the second run

Yeah I got off track too. Hitting lower ladies, somewhere along the line took a wrong turn, ended up taking the oldest / overgrown trail back to where it ends right on the road, with a 5 foot drop off.

haha i think i remember that spot, its easy to fuck up there. man, i haven't ridden lower ladies in ages. once i started hitting espresso / crippler or even lower skull (after pipeline or ladies only), i stopped riding lower ladies altogether. hell, i didn't even like lower ladies that much other than the roller and the big log. plus the roller on crippler owns the one on lower ladies.

definitely espresso. I rode lower oilcan a few months back and it wasn't in great condition at all. It looked sick and several wooden structures were in need of repair.
