new lenses, new body, not enough new though.



for those of you with and dig rebs or 20d's any ef-s camera, they have a new 17-55mm 2.8 IS lens.

personally this all stinks we need new long tele primes, and full frame bodies, and shut it with the ef-s crap, ill never buy into the ef-s stuff.

Because of the 1.6 multiplier or because of the lack of backward compatibility (or sideways compatibility) of the ef-s lenses?

so only certain lenses work with certain bodies? Not to start a huge debate here, but if I take my nikon lenses from the 70's and put them on a d200 or f6, they will work. I will even get ttl matrix metering. that's pretty sweet, IMO.

WHO CARES. Nikon vs. Canon is a completely moot argument and a waste of time. It's been debated ever since Canon changed their lens format to EF in the 80's. I still see beautiful shots from both Canon and Nikon cameras.

Having said that, let me go and drool over that 85 F1.2

isnt there a rumour going around about nikon making some big announcements soon?

fergs: sure enough the whole nikon v.s. canon debate is stupid, but i'm so glad that it is around. there is no way digital would be progressing the way it is without this crazy amount of competition
