Cheapest way of flying possible?
Alright, so I know there's clever ways of finding cheap flights, and yes, ive tried cheapflights.ca. I've heard of something students can sign up for and they get wicked deals or something? Anyway, I need to go from Van to Budapest early August. Then from there to Munich or Frankfurt early September, then from there to Madrid or Barcelona early October. (that last flight I already found for cheap). Germany can be skipped entirely if necessary, but thats where my family Is so Id like to work that in if possible. So far, the flights to Germany are way more expensive than I thought, which puts an unfortunate damper on things. Help

So far the lead is...$1239 to London, then $75 to budapest. I pretty much need to get there for a grand though unless I try to survive off of water and complementary mints. Apparently my mom got to Frankfurt from van for 700 last year in early September. If i could score that, then to Budapest...thatd be perfect.

what about trains - some good deals there - might not be so cushy but an overnight train gets you pretty good distance - and you see more

if you're planning ahead it's no good. wait til the last minute and look for call the airlines directly and they will sell you a seat for over half price.
