Girls have no place in bike videos.

Slow down there. I just figured the board needs some controversy right about now.

So yeah, a few days ago I was in a bike shop and they had some video playing that had a girls section, and it was awful. It was all like 4stair barhump drops to flat. Embarrass and boring.

SO, do you think girls should be in videos based on their skills or on the novelty of them being girls?

I think a few girl on girl biking parts would be interesting, if they are tastefully done.

AHHH Mr Brian. I think that you will go through much of your life as a single hair farmer that spends all his time behind a computer which will probably ensure that you will never spend anytime behind a girl.

But you do stir things up and make things interesting every once and a while I'll give you that.

i like to see the ladies riding bikes. i dont expect it to be a super long segment or as tech as the dudes but....

Why not? I mean sure, they do lack some upper body strength, BUT.... Girls now are doing lots of things guys 10 years ago were doing (which then we probably thought girls couldn't do)... So why can't they catch up?

I mean, come to think of it, there's some video section of Anne-Caroline dirtjumping... I think it's in some NWD. Anyway, you can't tell she's a girl, it just looks like a good dirtjumping session. I have no problem with that.

This is hardly controversial, and I don't think you should get credit for adding some "controversy". All you've done is state an opinion in a way that you know will ruffle feathers.

The bottom line, in my opinion, is that anyone who knows this sport knows there are girls out there that are absolutely killing it, and riding harder and faster, and going bigger than some of the guys who take (or try to create) an issue with their success.

As far as I'm concerned, case closed.

very true, but if you think of it, hannah stephens (sp?) i think it was, had a section in nsx.. 7 i blieve, of her attempting a backflip, chics are defently catching up, it is nieve to say that they are 10 years behind us.

I changed my post before you had a chance to finish your reply. When I read your second post in the thread, it became clear your view and what you were saying wasn't what your first post conveyed. What I said didn't account for that and wasn't fair.

What does that have to do with anything?

So there are lots of good female riders, I'm sure some of them are faster than me, and Hannah Stephens can flipppppppp (and I can't, I know, I'm a loooser)... So what?

The point is, I don't care that it's a girl or not, I just don't want to see crappy boring video parts.
