where do you get your news from?
I'm always so frickin unknowledgeable when it comes to world events so I've been trying to keep up to snuff on the whirlwind of events lately...

Thing is...I can't stand CNN and the rest of the over-hyped, sensationalistic bull-plop that passes as news nowdays. I know I'm not going to find any completely un-biased in-depth, and honest news report, because I'm not sure if they would even exist...

Where do you folks in the know get your news from?!?

you gotsta look all around. i find the yahoo news page to link to stories of different opinions. search history, look on newspapers from other countries (via the web)

here is the thing you'll never find a unbiast form of new, the truth is everyone has biases no matter how hard they try to hide them.
I agree that lots of tv new is to over sensationalized i get sick of them talking about something for weeks ie Sept 11 (i agree it was a tragedy but worse things have happened, Afghanistan, Iraq) but i still watch the news and read the paper (Sun, Province or Globe and Mail)

CNN can be very sensationalistic, but have you watched Aaron Brown? He's a very bright and insightful reporter with a concience. I generally like most of CNN (except Connie Chung) because they really don't like Bush. CBC news is one of the best for sure.

Kind of related: Bill Maher and "Politically Incorrect" was the most intelligent program I have ever seen. Bill is such a bright, bright guy who spoke his mind. Unfortunately, he spoke his mind right after 9-11 so they shut him down. Free speech in the US? Brutal.

I go running at night and get bored really easy, so if there's not a hockey game on the radio, I listen to "As it Happens" on CBC.

That show alone is worth all the tax dollars they recieve.
