airplane vs conveyor belt
Saw this on another forum. Might be old.

No it cant take off because it uses the wind passing over and under the wings to create an upwards force to take off. If it was on the conveyor belt, it would be effectivly standing still and therefore have no wind going over the wings and therefore would not be able to create the upwards force. I dont think that makes much sense cause Im really tired but hopefully someone will understand.
