Pike 454 U vs. Fox TALAS RLC 90-130

Setting up a 05 cowan for dj/street some trail riding...which fork would be best...any advice is appreciated. Don't know wether to go with Pike (Coil) or Fox (Air)...haven't demo'd any of these, so far I'm going on reviews.

i have the talas and my buddy has the pike im sure the pike is stronger as mine flexs a bit when i do dh but it feels better then the pike. but if its for a cowan i would have to say get the pike the talas is for "light freeride" and feels more like a long travel trail fork.

Does that Fox even have a 20 mm thru axle?

Pikes are def. good bang for the buck.

Get the Pike for sure, it's dependable, strong, feels great and has many adjustments for less money...hundreds less. I just overhauled mine after almost 2 years, i worked great, and still does. You don't have to send it away for service either. Rock shox has a way better travel adjuster that actually works, you can see it work. The maxel thru-axel is brilliant, no tools, and stiff! And when i want to jump on mine, i just lower the travel and adjust the motion control to stiffen up the ride, it's perfect!
