Lomo Fisheye

Picked up a new Lomo the other day and popped a few shots. The lack of adjustments is kind of tricky seeing as the only adjustment it has is a flash. I was shooting with Kodak Gold 400. Anyone got any advice for a good lowlight film so I don't have to be inches from the subject to get quality images.

i liked the one of the 9ball better than the one with the team dh but there still really cool...the dogs eye one is creepy

ugliest dog ever...well not really but pretty close. (i think there is an ugliestdog.com or somthing that takes the cake)

Finding the right angles has been a bit of an issue. The viewfinder is completely obstructed by the lens so I find myself just pointing it in the general direction of the subject hoping that I get something. Forces me to pick my ground and think a bit which isn't a bad thing I suppose.

Man don't let Fungle catch you saying that about his baby. Sophie is gorgeous in person. The distortion the camera causes makes her look a little odd.

The camera was 60 bucks. Its a novelty thing. I have a 35mm with a few lenses so I got bases covered.

Because it's a cool toy to play with. I don't know if you've ever seen the oldish Rushmores band photo. It was shot with something like this, and it's one of the best band photos ever.

Keep in mind that not everyone hates wide angles and distortion as much as you.

It's just for fun dude. You know fun. It's like masterbation but with film.

Lomo make novelty cameras in addition to their stock 35mm. Every serious photographer I know have atleast a few of them for unusual shots or just having fun. Remember fun . Except for the 35mm LOMO, they are all under a hundred canadian. Get one. You'll have fun with it.

Uh, I think this is the first camera that like, is fisheye ONLY.

I don't think it's stupid because it's fisheye, I think it's stupid because it's fisheye ONLY. I guess it's okay if it's like, really cheap.

It's a novelty. It forces you to use the fisheye and find neat shots with it. I'm pretty sure that anyone who buys this will also have a standard SLR body with multiple lenses anyway.
