If its gonna be an all around fork, I'de recommend something with adjustable rebound, compression, and travel, maybe look into the Z1FR series or the Pike's.

rock shock is made in USA isnt it, that as well as free trade agreement..its barely anything IF anything crossing the border...still mine came out to just under 500 cdn for a brand new pike, when pretty much nobody has em in stokc anymore, for another couple weeks then its 06... so its a find definitley

Not since 2003, and even then that was only the high end product.

There is no duty on forks.

I ordered two new forks from Pricepoint a couple weeks ago (one for someone else), and they charged $29 USD to ship the package. It was sent via USPS. Canada Post charged me $5 CDN for handling. So it's about $40 CDN for delivery charges.

So when the fork arrives, you pay a $5 handling fee and GST on the declared value.

That Pike SL would cost you $360USD, $29USD for shipping, $5CDN for handling, and about $30 CDN in taxes (GST). At 20% on the dollar, your total cost on the fork would be $500 CDN.
