I have 800X600 (max) on one of my laptops. I was wondering, if I were to connect my 1024X768 desktop monitor to the laptop, would the image then, on the monitor be 1024X768? and not an enlargement of 800X600?
Thanks. Eric |

I think it depends on your graphics card capabilities...if the image is only mirroring the laptop, then it will also be 800X600.
Hook up the external monitor, go into System Prefs, Displays, and all your options will be avaialbe there. If you are on windows, right click on the desktop, go to properties, then the settings tab. Your options will be around in that area...poke around and you should be able to find your answer...it is different for each laptop. Good luck, Chris

Yeah, whatever the max resolution is for your laptop will be the max that is on the connected monitor. You can try right clicking desktop>settings>advanced. Sometimes under there you can find other resolutions that aren't listed under your normal options.
