Ummm....maybe read in a bit further. And maybe wonder why this guy is hosting a radio show called "The Young Turks." And maybe find out who the Young Turks originally were.

And maybe wonder why you're reading subtle neo-Nazi blogs.

Take a look around.

The Young Turk revolution was a phase in the Ottoman Empire after sultan Hamid II was overthrown, basically an oligarchy was formed...

anyway

Perhaps you've also heard of a wonderful historical tidbit known affectionately as the Armenian Genocide?

silly armenians and their distinct nationality

I actually haven't heard about it, was that pre-WWI or when Ataturk and then Inonu were in power? I know that when Turkey was formed it ended up splitting armenia with russia, I believe.

I think its funny that he calls people who follow religion idiots, imbeciles, morons and whatever other unintellegent words he could think of to demeen people. Yet, his statements are so very hypocritical. Calling people nieve for have faith in a greater power? Sure, it may be wrong, but nieve? How come? Some would say he's nieve for thinking that we all of a sudden appeared he one day, with life, air, ecosystems etc. If you've ever studied anything in science, you know how immensely complicated and awe-inspiring things are. Take human physiology for example. The respritory system using carbonic acid to remove CO2 from cell,s while using the H+ produced from the reaction to signal the brain of possible hypoventilation. There's another great point, the Brain. Even in "2005" as this author states (infering that we are so advanced that nothing is beyond us), we can't even begin to understand how the brain works, what structures control what etc. The Same goes for physics? All the resources in the world and the smartest people we have, working for almost a full millenium on theories still have only scratched the surface of the true science.

If anything, this guy proves he's completely irrational and hypocritical. Sure, religion has become a tool now and in the past for exploitation, war, death, greed, genocide. Call it what you will but that's just man. We are greedy by nature (or so I believe). But still, to automatically dismiss all religions as non-sense with no place in a modern world? Most religions have great fundamentals, its just their institution that causes all the problems.

Again I'm not saying that believe or not believing is right or wrong. Just read the argument and realize that this genious is telling everyone that THEY are wrong for believing in religion, while his whole point is that people are arbitrarily decided what is right and wrong to suit their purposes and that's wrong to him.

Funny to see somone publish something that is clearly made to get them attention, whether it be good bad, or humliating.

Think/believe what you want and don't let anyone tell you what to think.

I didn't think he was talking about race at all. Genocide of religion maybe, but the guy makes points. Nothing has killed more people than the difference of beliefs in things that cannot be proven.

You can't beat someone who you can't prove is wrong or right. The only thing that would unite humanity is a common enemy, and that would be something like aliens. Not even global warming is enough to unite humanity (maybe if it gets 10 times worse than it is now it may).

The article was not particularly well written, it was too offensive, and didn't attack enough religions to be taken too seriously. If you attack religion and want to be objective, attack them all.

Excuse me if I fly off the handle here but this needs to be said (this is not directed at you, but people in general, dont get offended).

THIS IS THE FUCKING PROBLEM. WHY THE FUCK DO YOU WANT TO PROVOKE PEOPLE?????/ WHY ATTACK A RELIGION OR ANY RELIGIONS? You said it yourself, they can't be proven right or wrong, SO WHO GIVES A SHIT. Why waste breath and energy, your just a candle pissing in the wind. And plus, this is why shit gets started. Someone opens their mouth and some where along the lines of their "attack" offends someone else and boom, al of a sudden a few million people have died because of it 20 year later.

Maybe we should all just QUIT CARING what you believe as far as religion goes. DOES IT REALLY MAKE A DIFFERENECE IF I BELIEVE IN GOD, ALLA OR WHOEVER?????????????????

NO

PS. [Homer Simpson] Jesus Buhda Alla I love you all! [/Homer Simpson]

Take a look around.

What do they teach you in school these days?!?

Do you want to start a club called the Brownshirts?!?

(from Wikipedia)
The Armenian Genocide (also known as the Armenian Holocaust or the Armenian Massacre) is a term which refer to the forced mass evacuation and related deaths of hundreds of thousands or over a million Armenians, during the government of Young Turks from 1915 to 1917 in the Ottoman Empire.

The Young Turks were a Turkish nationalist reform party, officially known as the Committee of Union and Progress (CUP)

So maybe the guys behind the Young Turks talk show thought it was a cool name to have for a show? My Dad always used to call me a turk when I was kid. Maybe he was indoctrinating me to be the commy loving totalitarian I am today
