i havent seen them live yet.. its one of the bands that I've always wanted to see, because I've heard that they put on one of the best punk rock shows.

oh well, I guess we'll see tonight.

if you don't like them you likelu wont enjoy the show.

Seriously, don't bother.

I will begin this by stating that I'm a big Green Day fan, and love the 90s Lookout!-spawned pop-punk scene more than probably anyone else on this forum. I saw them when they came through last year. Apparently they have the same setlist, as this is a continuation of the same tour, but with different supporting acts (I'm pissed that I had to sit through Newfound Glory last time, while people get someone halfdecent this time.) this time.

They're flat out awesome when they're actually playing songs. Unfortunately, they spend more time trying to amp up the crowd or whatever, yelling "HEYYYYYY OHHHH", playing Queen covers, and committing other acts of horrible stadium rock cliche then they spend actually playing the songs properly. I get it, dude, you're in Vancouver. You don't have to replace every mention of location in a song with "VANCOUVER!!!!!" to make me like you. I've already paid $whatever to see you play your songs, obviously I like the songs, then, and don't want to see you strut around onto various platforms, hump your guitar, and tell me to yell "HEY YO" every 32 seconds. That show was probably the biggest dissappointment, at least music-related, of my life.

I continue to hate myself for not seeing them in the mid-90s when they pretty much just got on stage and blazed through a set of songs back-to-back-to-back and didn't waste my time with all kinds of cliche stage act crap. On top of that, they were on tour with the FUCKING RIVERDALES at the time, and I couldn't go. Anyway, I'm off to hang myself.

one of the many times i saw them was at woodstock 94 if that makes you feel any worse

also lolapaloza whatever year they did it (95?)
