i downloaded a movie but its in the .avi format and i dont have anything that can play it, nor do i know wher to get one. any suggestions?...or key words on

*assuming you are on a windows machine*

there are a few thinigs i have on all machines that can handle all formats...

windows media player 10 (vlc player if thats your thing) +divx codec (not player) +xvid codec +ac3 audio codec...

after you have all of those, toss a reboot at the machine and you should be set for the viewing...

well it looks like its the codec that is fubared from the compressing of the movie. oh well. thanx ne ways
