Please explore the "ignore" feature...

"While we continue to monitor the boards, and will take action when members of the community point out posts that include trail directions, abuse, racism, gay-bashing, profanity, porn etc; it presents a moral dilemma for us (because we're basically anti-authoritarian authority figures) when posts are reported for more subjective reasons, like "so and so is being a pain."

Therefore, the moderators and everyone at NSMB wanted to let the community know about a great feature that is built right into the BB. It's the IGNORE feature, and it's purpose is to allow you to filter out users whose posts you don't even want to know about. It gives you, the community member, the power of choice.

Here's how it works:

1. Click on the offending user's name, on the left side of the post, above their avatar.
2. You'll see a drop-down window.
3. Select "View Public Profile"
4. You'll see a header bar with "Add so-and-so to Your Buddy List" and the money link, "Add so-and-so to Your Ignore List."
5. Click on "Add so-and-so to Your Ignore List."
6. Savour the silence as that user's posts magically vanish.
