anything... general essays just so i get some ideas of things i could write about
here are some that have come up in the past...
1. you are relaxing with your friends on the beach when you hear alot of shouting. a little girl is about to drown. write about the incident.
2. handicapped people face many problems. write about any problems they face. you may write about any handicapped people in general or about those having one type of handicap.
3. a family argument. you may write about an argument that you were involved in; what led to the argument; the effects of the argument; how the problem was solved
4. what i intend to do whenm i leave school. write about the type of job you would be interested in doing or whether you intend to continue studying. you may write about the type of course that you intend to follow, the requirements for this course and what led to your decision etc.
5. write a letter to the editor of a local newspaper cammenting about the way how we can improve the services we offer to tourists who visit our island.

yes i know they suck thats why i would like some help or advice on how to start and finish these essays

i could never write a narrative so I would always try tie the topic to some historical event and just wrote about that. It usually worked, depending on the topic of course

Why don't you write about how to seek out help for a Grade 11 English exam by use of the internet?

Remember who your writing for, the markers are a bunch english teaches primarly old ladies. They do not like stories about extreme mountain biking, the party you went to last weekend...ect. However the markers having been reading a tons of exams and have probably read the whole essay about that summer with gramma a thousand times and are completely fed up with that shit, so trying to write something alittle different, but not too much so is probably your best bet.
Also have a list of "smart" words to use like "catalyzed" as well as good joining words, "thus

What, you wanna read everybody's stupid grade 11 english essays to try and learn from them or something? I have ones on book studies and theme and stuff, but somehow I don't think they'll be of any help.

I know the BC Ministry of Education website has sample essays like that, and they even tell you what mark they got (out of 6) somewhere for preparation for the Eng 12 provincial. www.bced.gov or something. Or google Grade 12 Provincial Exams and look for it. I looked but couldnt quite get the exact page I was looking for.
