Speaking of Shaving....
What's the point of the button on this thing:
![]() I pushed the "try me" button in the lineup at London Drugs last night and was impressed by the vibrations. But what is the point of it on a unidirectional (i presume) blade? Does it shave better, or is it just to give you the feel of an electric razor or ![]() It seems it is essentially a "dual shock" or "Rumble Pack" for your razor

From the <dumb> commercials, its supposed to raise the hairs <on your face> so its an even closer shave. Or some bs propaganda... wth, Gillette's was worth $57 BILLION. Dr. Evil would be happy with that.. makes me wonder what kind of mark up there is on those compared to productions costs.

i got one when i lost my old razor, they were on sale cheaper then the mach 3...so why not try out the new fangled one......it vibrates, but the only thing it does for me is kind of takes away the feeling from shaving, but i've got pretty sensitive skin. and i hated the blades...the mach 3 turbos are better.

Gillette sells $2bn US globally of Mach 3 razors and blades. That was 2 years ago. Their gear becomes more popular each year, and keeps getting more expensive. Anyway, the new one...I think it's got something for men and women built right into it. |

^ cool... i'll maintain status quo then. stick to the Mach 3 and ignore the new hyped up shit... i'm just waitin' for some new company to step up and say "Fuck it! 1000 blades!"

Schick has the Quattro. But I don't think they're getting much traction with it.
Tell you what, though. I wouldn't put a 3-bladed razor near my nuts. |

I use my wife's three-blade VENUS razor on the sack. (Wait a minute, that's TOO much information.)
