question about msn beta
this things been nothing but a pain in the ass to me, i cant send large files anymore, it seems to have trouble maintaining connection and stuff recently. I want to go back to an older version but if i deleat it (it wont let me install an old one with the new one being there) will i lose my contact list?

its mainly the file transfer stuff thats been bugging me. i dont know whats up with it, one of my roomates is having the same problem.

I'm going to guess no, since you can log on to your msn account from any computer and still have the same contacts. I can't guarantee anything though.

no, you wont lose your contacts. I actually just went back to 6.x yesterday from the beta and it was fine
edit: you can save your contact list by going contacts - save contact list. i just remembered this and thought i would add it in, as its handy if you change your email or something.

uuuuuuughhhhhhhhhhh frustrating. i installed it and it wont let me log in unless i downloard the new one! can i get around this?

they took a good program, gooned it up with all this kiddy bullshit like nudges and sparkley little stars that fly around making fairy noises and lost all functionality.

i dont what you guys are doing but ive had no probs with it at all. ive even sent a few albums over it. ive got it paired with the latest MSN Messenger Plus. it rocks.

I hate it, most of the time it wouldnt let me send messages or anything, it would say "could not send text to the following recipients"

I just downloaded 6.2 again

hmm.....mine is fine. but no, you wont lose your contacts, ever logged onto your msn from someone elses computer? and yeah you should be able to install a previous msn...IF you can find it. shouldnt be that hard to find

MSN 4.0 just came out for mac. Still no web cam, display pics, moving emoticons..... dot dot dot

who cares? It's called an instant messager, and that's what I use it for, email is for file transfers

its sort of like cell phones, sometimes im glad mine is just pretty good at making phone calls. it doesnt have photos or videos or a colour screen. Although it was pretty cool yesterday when my friend was playing splinter cell on his phone in our lecture

it did that to me for a week I would say like hey to soemone and it would go thorugh then try to carry on a convo like "whats up?'' then it doesn't work. so i typing random shit like f**k this and that goes thorugh.
