Stolen Bike

Hi all.

I'm new to the form. been reading it for about a week. I live in Saskatoon. A far cry from most of you in B.C. I was riding home from work today. I stoped at superstore to pick up some milk, and when I came out my bike was gone. I just finished a nine hour shift and just wanted to eat supper and watch a movie or somthing. (I bike all year around, its not cold as long as you dress right.) Its not that my bike was a amazing bike or anything. (Schinn mesa GSX, 1999). Its more that some one would steal my method of transportation. (I don't drive. just bike) when its 35 below. now I need to walk or take a taxi to walk for the next month until I can aford a new bike.
I called the cops, (not that I expect them to find it, they have bigger problems) and I'm making posters to put up around the city (At super store, my area of town, bike shops etc.) Do you guys have any ideas of things that I can do to increas the chances of getting my bike back.

Sorry to post such a negative first post ever, but I'm so pissed off. I mean, who steals a locked bike at 9:30 when its 30 below.

Anyways sorry about the rant. Any Ideas are welcome.

hey dude thats the wrong attitude, you as a tax paying citizen deserve their help in finding it.

dude that suxs majorly. baseball bats to the heads of biek thieves and rotwilers to their crotchres and after thats done jsut leigh em out on a big drop tranny and get ur friends to repedetly keep on droping on the fuck till his guts paint the trail red

My buddy had his bike stolen outside of wall mart, he called the cops and 5 minutes later a cop car came, they went driving around and went into the indian reserve, saw his bike on the front lawn, the female cop kicked the door down and brought the basterd out in hand cuffs, haha, musta been great to see that! he was really piissed too. So, the moral is, keep your hopes up and think positive! I'm sure youll get it back!

Hey Guys, thanks for all the suport. SyC cHyLd. I know I have the wrong attitude, I have worked in poor part of town. when you see children with smoke burns all over there body(I'm a lifeguard), 12 year old prostituts etc, a bike becomes a small priority. I wish I was with the cop when your friend got his bike back Cheese. I hope it works out for me. Its just hard to think of anything but kicking the shit out of the guy that riped it off.

Maybe post pics of your bike at shops telling them its stolen and to call you if its ever seen?

This thred is biking related, so it doesnt need to be in the NBR forum. A mod will be happy to move it to the shore forum so more people will see it. Then you have a greater chance of getting it back.

yeah, spread around some missing posters and go hunting in pawn shops and make sure you let all the bike shops know about you're bike. They might unexpectadly get it in for repairs one day :/
