Alright, I'm gonna post my favorite parts then:
Quote:
![]() The stuff on the Mars face... nice that they managed to dig up an old photo before adaptive optics and such cleaned up the image. A modern decent image of it looks nothing like a face, unless you put a little vasaline on the lense and squint. About the "perfectly symmetrical pyramids"... how exactly are they perfect? Even at a glace they're asymetrical to the eye, nevermind detailed measurements. That's assuming that they're even pyramids at all... I'd like to see modern clean photos of the same areas.

hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
And yet -- despite all this remarkable evidence, gathered all in one place on the Martian surface -- the only mainstream media coverage the "Face" ever receives consists of crude attempts to make it still appear as merely a psychological "trick of light and shadow"; the deliberately degraded reproductions (below), again and again washing out all of the highly detailed photographic contrast in the original digital NASA images
why push the 'blown out' images? why are the originals no good? anyway, the mars ref. is just a part of the tsunami article, not the focus. |

My point is that what he calls "the highly detailed photographic contrast in the original digital NASA images" are actually extremely low detail, old, blurry NASA images. What he calls a "deliberately degraded reproduction" looks... just odd.
Here's some info on the face. http://members.cox.net/mathmistakes/artbell.htm

face.........
the face is what it is....
as for the mars info, its the math that really gets me going. the same formula and numbers are used with the great pyramid and angkor ........... arcane math. math and numbers are the one true universal language they say, beating out 'music' and spoken word by miles........ have you seen this book? http://www.grahamhancock.com/library/fotg/default.htm or this one? http://www.grahamhancock.com/library/mm/default.htm or this one? http://www.grahamhancock.com/library/kog/default.htm Last edited by stacy kohut; 01-15-2005 at 05:20 AM. |

Stacy, the theories are great, but you can find numbers for anything anywhere. If you haven't read Foucault's Pendulum please do. I think you'd find it quite interesting. This "face on mars" is reminding me of the lady who found the face of the Virgin Mary on her grilled cheese sandwich . I find it funny that people are so scared and paranoid about comets and such hitting us. If it's going to happen then it will happen. There isn't a whole lot that we can do about it. It is part of nature, life and death, give and take, yin and yang. The fact that life could be extinguished is all the more reason to enjoy it. I don't know, I guess I just don't care that much about these warnings. The article is interesting though and I'd like to see more research on it. Really though it seems to me that man meddles in too much as it is. The research is interesting, I look forward to when they present it and make it usable. The Ito |
