So how was the area this kids died in defined? Would it have helped?
Seems like a good way for them to cover their asses.

considering the nature of avalanches, it is impossible to zone safe areas unless theyre controlled.
all this will do is convince people that they are safe on a certain slope, because it is rated "1"...then a snowfall later with some warm temps and a crust from weeks ago and that "safe" slope isnt so save after all. |
