n00b digi cam
I want a digi cam for christmas and im lookin at the Canon Powershot A75.

Pro's and Con's would be appreciated.

Im not gonna be a PS whore and take amazing photos so i dont need all the bells and whistles, just something to have as a good camera for awhile.

yo adam, i just picked one up and i dont mind it. if you have any questiuons about it i can try and answer em. i'm still getting to know the camera but it's worked out well so far.

I think that camera is a great choice. I have the A60 and it is excellent. I didn't want anything over 2mp.

Good choice. When We bought a digi cam a year and a half ago, it was narrowed down to the Canon (at that time the A60, the 2 MP version) and the Nikon coolpix 2100 that we ended up getting.

Both are really good cameras for the regular person IMO, the Canon was a bit heavier but could shoot more video than the Nikon.
