Question Another Trig question

Trig Homework, And I dont have a clue on this stuff I think if i can get this question, ill be able to get them all though.

Three people are playing catch. They are standing 8m, 11m, and 12m apart.

a) Prove whether or not the triangle they form is a right triangle

b) Find all three angles in the triangle




I know everyone hates this kind of post But im stuck on this question for some reason..

a) if 8squared + 11 squared = 12squared then it is a right angled triangle

b) 8/six = 11/siny = 12/sinz
OR u may have to use the cos rule

i think i am not sure on b...gd luk mate

the the triangle does not have a right angle...the angles are 40degrees, 63degrees, and 77degrees
using the formulas

Alright, I do h ave another question

Two buildings are 40m apart. The angle of inclination from the ground floor of the shorter to the roof of the taller building is 74. The angle of depression from the roof of the taller builfing to theroof of the shorter building is 26. Calculate the height of both buildings..

shmoe - use right triangles - you know all the angles (one is 74, 16, 90, while the other is 64, 26, 90).

you know one of the lengths, so the other length's can be found from that original ( 40m ).

maybe you already knew this, maybe you didn't, its a little help though, but no answer
