I can see why some would like it...But I'd never do it.

I like MTB seats. They feel comfy, they have a longer nose that allows you to control the bike with your inner thigh, and they look like they belong.

For a dirt jumper type rider, it makes sense. For a downhiller, they are the wrong tool for the trade.

I use one on my Bullit. Works great, never bends, is never in the way, and looks infinitely better than over sized DH seats. Pedals better than a dh seat and worse than a xc seat...

Oh yeah, IMO

I rock a bmx seat on my Drop, in my opinion they are way superior to mtb seats in every way, except when the trail goes up or for long distance, but for hits and being able to pinch them, way better. Also a lot stronger, most mtb seats are pinner, not to mention overpriced(IMO).

I don't really like it for pedaling fast once I start racing more
- hopefully next season... It will kick the bucket

I run a bmx seat on my dh bike. Comfortable, and good for pinching when jumping.

i run one on my demo, it is a great bike for it, you ride it from the middle all the time anyway, and imo the only downside to a bmx seat is getting behind it can be a little harder, but you will get used to it.

deffinatly. i ride the velo. $20. BEEFY rails. super comfy, small. and i just kept breaking my mtb seats. i never really use my seat that much anyways. oh and way better for pinching. my old mtb seat i couldnt even pinch. this one is super easy.
