My Cousin CJ (Aldo Nova) just got a new TV the other day, I got some pics of it......I believe it is a 98" Drop Down Projection TV......quite unreal if you ask me...and the picture of it is like no other, so crisp and clear!!!

They've got some rad Surround sound too, so the sound is quite amazing.

The first picture looks like its taken with the lights on hence you can barely see the picture and the second one looks like he took the picture with a lower shutterspeed on his camera so the picture kinda got blurred. The picture quality from projectors is not quite as top notch as tv's but the fact you can make the picture as big as you want is awsome.

Here are a few pics of my setup (soory about the PQ, cheap cheap cheap digicam!)

Barco Graphics 800, running off a HTPC @ 1024*768, with pull down 8" DaLite screen. MMM good!

Well not really, but my friend fixes them for a living so I did some landscaping for him in exchange for the PJ and screen. He sells them on ebay for a living.....

actually, i can and do game it on that screen (halo at 98 inches is rad). its a better image on my screen than my friends 56 inch cause you can adjust both size and focus

in first pic all lights were on, and in the second pic lights behind where i was standng were on also. i don't have a high end camera to take snazzy photos with either, and i know nothing about cameras, i just point and shoot. trust me, if it had shitty picture quality you would be looking at a big plasma or LCD instead.

edit : i have more pics of the setup built into our wall that hold the reciever, x box, dvd player, etc, if the demand is here i can post more pics but i dunno if you guys would respect my shitty quality of pictures

any tips on camera usage to get a good shot of the picture quality with proper lighting would be appreciated (digi cam btw)

^ my buddy knows the film tech at the imax here in calgary and they hooked his xbox up to the imax screen. he said it was insain. you have to actually move your head to see things.

Is that a dlp or lcd projector? If its dlp how do you find your black levels?

Projector yes its a dlp, there is a button on the remote that has settings and you play around on there till you get to color and the brightness features...i just sorta play around till the image is right. i'm not most technology advanced person

it is mounted too my roof where it is safe and secure
