where's the line? being scared vs. being careful

With all the fear mongering going on, where's the line between being scared, or being careful?

All of the fear mongering that goes on has me wondering exactly how vigilant I really need to be. What do I really need to worry about? How do I know the difference?

This has bearing on a lot of decisions we make every day. To walk down the dark alley, or not. To stock your 'safe room' with twinkies, or not...

i thought this thread was gonna be about riding, but then i realized it was int he NBR.. but it has alot to do with riding, usually im so scared when i pick my lines, but then they turn out awesome and so the next time i ride the trail everythings perfect... its usually when i slow down and take my time that i fuck up and endo

Read some stuff about anxiety and related fields.

But, hey, you are thinking about it, so it does not seem too bad.....at least you are not stuck in your room, shooting your friends just because you thought they are burglars.
