Cops: working hard or hardly working?

So I'm doing the irrigation night shift with another guy at a site on United Blvd. in Coquitlam right next to the Tim Hortons/Wendy's. (Yes I now dig trenches at night!)

So it's 3am and these three cops come flying down the street doing at least 100. They bomb into the parking lot, their headlights were off before they got into the lot. One backs in behind the place, One parks at the side and the other one takes up three spots out front, backed in and ready to go.

Me and Chris were all oh shit! what's going on! We thought stake out or something.
Then this car that was parked at the back of the lot for the last hour cruises up next to one of the cop cars and we notice it was actaully a ghost car.

So they all sit there for 5-10 mins, I go back to work, look up as another 2 cars come flying in. There were then 7 cop cars including two ghosts.
Me and Chris were getting pretty excited, hoping to see some action.

Oh yah, action all right:

They all get out and walk into the Tim Hortons.

They were in there for 1.5hours. Meanwhile, it poured rain for a half hour and wet the roads.

The cops all leave and are pulling burnouts and sliding around the corners in the parking lot as they leave.

so yah, there's my story of incompetent, lazy, donut-whoring coppers who should be out setting an example and keeping the peace. Not trying to keep the pieces of donuts off their shirts and in their mouths.

Tim Hortons has such slow service, cops should so somethign about it, seeing how theyre in there all the time anyways.

my fiancee used to work at timmy ho's. she said that sometimes cops would come and sit for almost their entire shift and just eat and drink coffee. i used to go tehre for late night study and paper writing sessions. this one time i got there and there were 4 cops sitting and eating. i was there for 6 hours. they were there before i got there and after i left. im so glad they get paid to protect the timmy ho's.

when ya see that shit, write down a car #, and call it into the station.

actually i too have a story

while i was volunteering at the greek food festival (like i do for the past 10 years) the cops always barge in sit int he back table during their shifts and always get free food. It irritates me because its either some type of sick bribe or just a sick excuse for them not to be picky and try to find something to charge them on.

I'm never really sure what to think of cops....

Cops get free coffee and some food at tims, makes tim hortins more secure and less likely to get robbed with police in the place all the time.

Also, some cops are just on call, if no calls come in there is not much they can do.

thats pretty sad and sweet...i saw an episode of monster garage where they got the attention of police (as usual) and the cop and jesse ended up racing down a backlot...but they had to blur out the whole cop car

True story, some cops aren't the dirt-bag traffic patrol kind. Some have cool jobs that only require them to works once theyr'e called. Like homocide investigators for instance.
