GAHHHH god damn pop ups....

decided to run a spyware check today, using both spybot s&d and adware, and cleaned up a hell of alot of spyware.

so about 2 hours later, i start getting pop ups, right out of the blue, havent had them for around a year and a half, and all of a sudden i start getting them.

but i have a pop up blocker running, seems to be working well, but the way it works is that when you get a pop up you havent had before, you have to add it as a target, or something like that.

and i have allready ran a scan 2 times to find the source of the pop ups, anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: these are pop ups that come up at any given time, not just when using a browser.

I got my copy of SP2 off of MSDN.

Try Windows Update and see if it's available through that service.

Just to let you know that with the WinXp SP2, there have been alot of problems with it so far. Alot of systems have been unable to accept it, therefore not allowing ALOT of applications to run. This is only on some computers though, some computers are running it fine. But im waiting a couple weeks before I add it on, just so they get rid of the last final kinks.
