The entire mountain is a mystery to me, i wanna know its history. It's said that there is a chairlift somewhere and im curious where all the paths lead to

Yea that's one crazy mountain. Maybe we'll find a trail we had no idea existed? That mountain is crazy.

there is no chairlift, but u can find the old rope tow by the chalet site, the cable is there still if u look for it

So.. somewhere on the mountain is a cable? or is it near a trail? And was there a train that used to run on burke, or by burke

. Are there anymore myths about burke, or interesting facts?

that one i know dumps onto the main access road.. i meant the one above it..

maybe the lower one just loops around and goes to the viewpoint? i dont know why it doesn't connect with the main road at the powerlines though!

yah i heard about a train or log hauling trail too, i would think it would be near the sawdust pile, but i wonder how they did it with the drastic elevation changes.

We really have to devote a whole day to just exploring the mountain. Theres probably tons of stuff we don't know about.

I have attached a map

15 = upper red r
16 = lower red r
17 = elevator
cut off trail at bottom = galloway

if u don't turn right jsut before galloway you will go up a really rocky road and aventually get to red r and elevator, according to the map. I have never tried it, it'd be something to do with the mule, though.

The faint red line is an access trail that I think should be built.... so you can do just lower red r, or do upper red, elevator, lower red. It'd jsut go under the powerlines, but I'm not sure what type of terrain it is.

that's dope! nice map, i made one waay long ago but it's totally outdated now. what is the name of #26? i rode it last time i was up there, i thought i was going onto triple crown then learned otherwise

I got that map out of the book from blak dog ($17.95

). one of my goals this season is to create a book of all the trails. That book has not been updated since summer 2001, and it tends to call everyone who reads it a loser. He spends too much time saying don't skid.
