how much do broken bones hurt?

Yea, so today I tried to hop up a cement retaining wall that I can normally do a two footed jump up, except I had a twelver of wobbly pops in my backpack that I wasnt thinking about. So I didnt get the required vertical and creamed my shins into the edge.

I'm wondering how much a broken bone hurts, I've never gotten one before, and while I was able to hobble away from it, I'm sitting here at work and its really starting to hurt. I had to move a bag of books for some old biddy on my break and that brought on a world of pain...

i'm going to hit up the bc gov website and see what they say about it.... but im wondering whats you'reses experiences.

anyway its a sunny evening and im wondering if its worth heading to emerg. to get them to take a look at it, or should i enjoy the wobbly pops in the sunset and suck it up. do broken bones really hurt that much?

Um... i remember it hurting like hell for about five seconds then going really really numb for about half an hour then it rather hurt like a bitch for a radial fracture i gave myself... if it keeps hurting and for like more than six hours (random number i picked) it's probably worth getting looked at just to make sure

Ummm...broken bones hurt like a bitch...really bad. But so do shin injuries...bad stuff becuase they do not heal real well...I would get it checked out anyway.

yea, it clouded over anyway. maybe i can convince a friend to come hang out in emerg and have some road sodas while i wait...

get it checked out. its not "broken" if you can walk on it, but it might be fractured.

a guy on my rugby team fractured his leg on tour in cali, but we convinced him it was nothing so he went to disneyland the next day and walked around all day on it only to come back to canada 2 days later and find out it was fractured

Did your eyes well up in tears and you wanted to scream,but some how no sound came out?

ahhh not neccessarily. i'd get it checked out. I cracked my knee cap and was too embarassed/manly to get it checked out and because of that it healed really fucked and has been haunting me since.

i'd just waste 4 hours and go to emerg

Shinners hurt way more than broken bones.I couldnt feel my tib/fib fracture when I did it.

Poke around it, if you hit a spot where it makes you want to scream then you may have a break.

when i broke my foot it hurt like a biatch for 3 mins than it went numb for like 20 min s and than as soon as i stoped movin it after ig ot int he car it was insane. than 3 days later i had no pain
