29 minutes

Last night had to get a ride in so I went to pick up my XC bike from work and got a flat on my commuter on the way. Patched it up and grabbed my XC bike. Flat back tire. Replace the tire (it was a tubeless) and don't have enough time to ride to SFU so I grab the truck. Park at the North road parking lot and start the ride at 8:01pm. I know I have to rush so I don't get caught in trails with no light so I pin it . Up the gravel road and down Nicoles, back at the truck at 8:30.
29 minutes total ride with no warm up!
Anyone else tried to do the climb and descent as fast as possible?

That's good.

I've timed myself on the climb up from North Road to the top (old Shell Station). I think my best was 17 minutes.

I can see getting down in 10-12 minutes as reasonable.

Nice work!

That was with mels ( I always forget that mels is the start of the trails up there).
That would be a good race. You have to know how to climb and descend. I bet the times for the faster riders could get down to around 15 min.

balls! the fastest i've ever heard the gravel trail being done was 20 minutes. (that was before it was paved with gravel though)

still, i can't hope to get that loop done any faster than an hour.

I don't think my bike could make it all that way - its two-tired!

I betcha you could do it in 28 minutes if we sicked the Kaiser on you.

Harookz and I in about 10 minutes from the start of Joes to the top of Cardiac - in middle ring the whole way; he beat me by a bike length but only because he didn't let me pass at the rocks!! That's my story and Im sticking to it

oh then we shuttled down because we were too tired

Hey Lee!

I've had similar a experience chasing Haruki up Cardiac, except mine ended with him handing me my lungs on a platter.

Oh yah, and I think it was closer to 8 minutes.

It's been a while since I've ridden SFU so can't really remember what's considered fast.
If your climb included doing Cardiac in mid-ring it would count as a pretty good one.

Yeah I'm thinking that getting getting Krack-head to be the pace setter will have it down to 20 mins.

I reckon she can have the boys down to the 8-10 minute mark if she doesn't wear anything under her skirt.
