cheap 2.3" tire choices?
looking for a rear tire for Spec Enduro SX. it has to be around 2.3":
- hard compound - DH casing/sidewall - cheap! I am having a problem finding something that is cheap that first those requirements. here's what I have tried: - maxxis 2.5" - fits perfect, but lotsa $$'s - 2.35" nevegal - is perfect, but way too soft compound - 2.35" kenda kinetics - got too many flats, not a DH tire - Stout 2.3" - a bit too big (fatter than a maxxis 2.5"!) I was pretty bummed the stout 2.3 is too big... cause for $20 this tire can not be beat. if it was just a bit smaller I would be so set with this tire. so what else is out there in the $20-$30 range? |

what about a Rokko ???
or a Tioga DH... both of those are small tires and can be had with DH casings... http://www.bikeroom.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=TR7187 its a bit over your budget but not by much... pretty hard to find a decent tire for under 40$...unlesss u shop for a used one...

U can get specialized tires for pretty cheap... pro rollers... 2.35's were on sale @ JH. I'm running the 04 models on my BigHit right now... fine for the shore, although they could be more grippy, hella pinch flats up @ whistler
