ADVICE WANTED: Full Face Helmets

So IFO notices some surface cracks in my 2001 661 Full Bravo... and now my wife says I'm banned from riding unless I buy a new helmet..... so if you guys have input on any of the following, posting it soon would be greatly appreciated (I don't think my Telluride helmet is appropriate for Whistler)

Here's what I'm looking at:

661 Full Bravo 2 $153
http://www.bikeroom.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=HE2520

661 Full Bravo Carbon $153/$223
http://www.bikeroom.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=HE2535

661 Full Bravo Comp $103
http://www.bikeroom.com/Itemdesc.asp?ic=HE2540

Giro MadMax II $140
http://www.bikeroom.com/Itemmatrix.asp?ic=HL-GIR-MadM2

Does carbon fibre make a real difference over regular helmets?

You have to try them all on, and see which one fits your melon the best. All helmets are made to different headz, and so fit is crucial, to get the comfort and stability that you'll need.

I have the Mad Max II personally, and I love it. I also like longish moto style visors.

Yup, it's all about fit. I can't get a 661 onto my large melon - and persionally I don't think carbon fibre helmuts are all that great. If you are cracking regular buckets, the carbon fibre one would have been long gone

I have a madmax, and i love it. My head is massive and its the only kind that would fit me, mind you, i dont like it just because it fits me, its a real sweet helmet.

Remember, you get what you pay for.

Go to a bike shop, then close your eyes and ask a sales person to hand you every helmet they have in your size. When you find the one that fits best, buy it; No matter the color, price or brand it is.

I have tried on almost every full face and the madmax fits best but is still too small, what I do not understand is why they have small and medium...but no large...I mean what are the big boys soposed to do. 661's don't fit my head at all....presses against my forhead, and others are just crap...especially ridge. I have not tried a troy lee....but am scared too...bling, bling and my luck would be it would be the only helmet to fit my fat head. Bah, getting ticked off.

Furious if your happy with your current 661 FF's fit, then all the newer 661's should fit you the same way, at least in the given size u currently use...

the Comp helmet is a "lighter-duty" FF designed for DS/4X racing... u can feel its a flexier/lighter helmet compared to the Full bravo...
